BATTERY WONT CHARGE PAST 63%

iPhone 14 Pro Max will not charge past 63% with optimized battery performance OFF as well as clean energy charging. This started happening after the IOS 16.5 update. This iPhone is brand new, purchased March 2023. (There is nothing wrong with my charger it’s brand new as well) The only way to allow it to charge past 63% is to turn my phone off.

Get this Serviced:

Given your location, you have a one-year, out-of-the-box, limited-warranty with this. So, take this in for a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. Bring a proof of purchase with you.

So, who serviced this? Take it back, and have it serviced once more. Stick with Apple, if you have AppleCare.

Thanks for responding above. Unfortunately most consumers of Apple products do not reside near a Genius Bar and their iphone may not be under warranty.

Could Apple please explain how and why the last upgrade impacted battery charging and why an additional enhancement is yet to be received to rectifying this issue.

Apple, please keep in mind many consumers rely on your iPhone for the comfort of being able to contact someone if in need of a medical or other type of emergency, or general whereabouts or work tasks. We shouldn’t need to re-charge the iPhone 2-3 times a day, especially at the purchase price point.
