I used Audacity on my old 210 Intel chip Mac Mini which worked perfectly for ripping tracks from vinyl or CD. My new M2 Mini doesn't work with Audacity. What is the next best program for the M2 Mac?

According to this page, the current version of Audacity (3.3.2) is a Universal binary that works on both Intel-based and Apple-Silicon-based Macs.

If an App Won't Run...
Contact the Developer.
Many apps go by devices, meaning if you transfer this to a different device, then it will not work, and you simply need to purchase a new license. So, contact the Developer, asking them what the issue is here. M2 Macs have a Silicon processor, meaning this software may not yet be compile with it.
I just had this same issue on my M2 Mac Mini. I could see input meters from the USB phono preamp in Sound settings but couldn't hear it through any outputs. I ended up using Rouge Amoeba's Audio Hijack and making a input to output record routing for it. I only used Audio Hijack because I already owned it. You can probably use another virtual input/output like BlackHole to route input record sources to any application.
I just checked and a newer version of Audacity does run on the M2 Mac Mini. I'll have to see if it recognizes the USB phono preamp for recording.
Unless something has changed recently, the Music app (formerly iTunes) can be used to import music from CDs along with an external optical drive.
Getting tracks from vinyl is another story, however.
