Change Clock App Default to open to “Alarm”

My Clock app also opens up to most recent “option” I was in: Alarm. It has never skipped a beat since I updated to iOS 16.5.

Perhaps you’re tapping on World Clock from a Widget? Unlikely, perhaps, but possible.

Mine still opens to the last used like it always has. Using an iPhone 14 with iOS 16.5.

The only thing I can think to suggest is to close the Clock app Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

and restart the iPhone and see if that helps.

Actually mine does open to the last used, but there is also a way to open directly to the Alarm. Open the Control Center (Access Control Center on your iPhone - Apple Support), and tap on the Alarm icon.

If you don’t see the Alarm icon, go to Settings/Control Center and add it.

It is possible. It might be a device malfunction. For now you can use the app "shortcuts" To create a widget that will open up to the "create alarm screen" without going to the "world clock page" first.

I had the same problem. It was due to opening the clock from a widget.

To fix go to the App Library (final page of Home Screen), find the clock app, hold down on the clock app until it is added to the Home Screen. Now will open to last used. Remove widget.
