I can't use M-audio fast track ultra 8r in Mac os 12.5.1 because the driver is not compatible

M-Audio Fast Track Pro Compatibility with M1 Macbook Is there any way for a M1 MacBook to use the old M-Audio Fast Track Pro? I know drivers will not install. And the audio is choppy, cutting in an out for any input, or maybe it is the output.

usb codec - audio mixer ? MacOs detects either a Yamaha or Harbinger mixer plugged into usb port. The driver listed is a usb audio codec 1 and 2. The mixer has 8 mic inputs. But i can only create 2 tracks since the driver only has 2 inputs to select from? am i only limited to 2 channels or is this a driver issue that is needed?
