usb codec - audio mixer ?

MacOs detects either a Yamaha or Harbinger mixer plugged into usb port. The driver listed is a usb audio codec 1 and 2. The mixer has 8 mic inputs. But i can only create 2 tracks since the driver only has 2 inputs to select from?

am i only limited to 2 channels or is this a driver issue that is needed?

Using garageband with two USB inputs I have a USB microphone and a USB guitar cable. I want to EASILY be able to use these two things to record the guitar and my voice at the same time in Garageband. I know there is a way to create a dual input using settings, but the Mac doesn't remember and I have to redo it each time and I can never remember how to do it. It is very frustrating, involves multiple steps, and by the time I get it set up I've lost my energy for recording. Is there an external mixer or something that will simply connect via USB to the computer and allow me to connect my USB inputs to it and that be that? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

USB Audio Codec not available in macOS 15.4.1 I upgraded to Sequoia 15.4.1 yesterday, and no the USB Audio Codec option for Input in Audacity is no longer available. I've restarted my Mac, uninstalled and re-installed Audacity, triple checked all my settings and I can't get the option to appear. I collect a lot of vinyl and have been digitizing them for years with the exact same set up.... hooked up exactly the same way. The only thing that has changed is my OS version. UMC404HD Audio Interface - Macbook 16 OS13.4 I have just purchased a Behringer UMC404HD audio interface. The manufacturer confirmed that it works with Mac OS, but when it is connected to my Macbook while it does register the device, it is only working with one input channel and not the four the device offers. I have tested the device on a Windows system. and it performs exactly as its supposed to showing all four channels as available inputs. Specifically in OBS. In Windows OBS sees all four input channels as available, where in OBS on the Macbook it just shows up as the device with no options for channels. I am using my Macbook for all of my audio capture and editing so I would prefer not to have to revert to Windows just so I can use this piece of kit.See attached image for how the device is showing up. Any suggestions?

Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see if you can accomplish what you need there.
