pictures in imessage won’t show

when I send a picture via imessage the other see only blank message, when I receive a picture it shows I have to download it but it never does

Seems that pictures received in iMessages are now automatically saved to be viewed in Photos: "shared with you" album.


If needed:

At the bottom of Apple Support's article:

Send and receive content in Messages on iPad – Apple Support

says:

"Control what shared content appears in apps

You can adjust your settings to hide an app’s Shared with You section.

✽. Go to Settings > Messages > Shared with You.

✽. Turn off Automatic Sharing, or turn off Shared with You for a specific app.
