I purchased my device from the original owner who set up the AppleCare contract for it. What do I have to do to renew the coverage when it comes time?

The original owner will need to first transfer theApplecare to you (call 800-275-2273 and ask to be transferred to Applecare division). Once the Applecare expires you can see if it is eligible for an extension.
