I've been trying to fix and change my apple music artist name for a long while now. I submitted a change request to my distributor and found out that it would take 7 months for the name to change. That was in July. Meaning it should have changed in January. It is now almost June with no changes in my name. I don't know If I should delete the account entirely to show the name change or what. Please Help.

I submitted my artist name change request through my distributor Distrokid in May of 2023. It is now January of 2024 and still no progress. I have been emailing both parties, back and forth, hoping for something as a simple as an update and no one will help. Apple is telling me to talk to my distributor, my distributor is telling me to talk to Apple. According to my distributor, any name change requests submitted before June 8th, 2023 will be honored by Apple. Any requests after that, won’t be taken. This process should not be so difficult, or better yet, Apple should provide artists with application updates.

Any update on your situation? I submitted my name change in December 2022. All platforms but Apple have updated. (It only took a couple weeks max for all other DSPs) next month will be a full year since I made the submission I’m starting to grow very impatient.
Same I requested my artist name change in March 2023 and to this day they still have not honored my request and both Distrokid and Apple Support are useless and don’t help at all.
Same thing is currently happening to me too. I believe I submitted my request for a name change way before they changed their policy (June 8th, 2023). To this day I'm still waiting for my name change to be honored by Apple. I honestly don't know why it's been this much of a struggle for this long.
Anyway I really hope they eventually make the change to honor the requests before June 8th, 2023

Same I changed mine back around 8 months ago now. All other platforms have updated but apple music. Please let me know if it updates or you find a fix.
