Why isn’t there 3D Touch?

I generally use my iPhone to do my artwork, and got a new phone (iPhone 12 mini) just yesterday. I have found out the hard way that pressure touching (3D Touch) is not on here. Why was it removed, and is there a way to bring it back? I need the 3D Touch for my artwork, and if I’m unable to bring it back, I’ll have to revert to my original iPhone 7. This is very frustrating and disappointing for me to find out, and I need to know if there’s any available alternates that allow touch pressure to work.

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 16

The 3D Touch feature required an extra layer in the screen to detect the pressure of a touch. Apple decided to remove this and it is now effectively replaced by Haptic Touch instead. So you now have to do a long press on the screen until the previous 3D Touch menu appears.
