Calls going straight to voicemail

when I receive calls they are sent directly to voicemail as if I’m ignoring it. Do not disturb is turned off and all focus settings are turned off. Sometimes it just sends them sometimes it says user busy then sends them to voicemail. I’ve tried soft boot all kinds of different options to stop this from happening. Does anyone know how I might be able to fix this issue? If you do please let me know it’s driving me nuts I appreciate it.

  1. Check to see that the Silent switch is not set to ON. Silent switch is located on the Top Left Sideof your iPhone.
  2. Open Settings  Sounds & Haptics  Ringer and Alerts : Make sure this is not set to OFF or too Low. Set Change with Buttons to OFF. Below that Make sure that there is a Ringtone selected.
  3. Check to see that Silence Unknown Callers is set to OFF. Open Settings  Phone  Silence Unknown Callers : Set this to OFF
  4. Make sure that a ringer sound is assigned. Open Settings  Sounds & Haptics  Ringtone : Ensure that a Ringtone is assigned here.
  5. Check to see that Do Not Disturb is set to OFF. SWIPE DOWN from the TOP RIGHT CORNER of your screen. This will reveal the CONTROL CENTER. Find the FOCUS button (should be highlighted in white if Do Not Disturb is ON) and Tap on it. This should turn OFF Do Not Disturb.
  6. If all of the above is OK on your iPhone then Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:
  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

Thanks that had a lot of great information unfortunately I tried all that; however while I was looking through that stuff I went into focus/settings/options and changed calls silenced while on do not disturb to allow all callers so hopefully that’ll fix the issue. I’m not positive since do not disturb was turned off when this was happening anyways but it’s the only thing I could come up with since nothing else worked. If that does take care of it I’m still at a loss because now I’ve allowed all callers to contact me when do not disturb is on. I did notice multiple people on here are having the same issue so hopefully it’s an issue from the latest updates maybe apple with find the bug and fix it if that’s the issue. Thank you so much for trying to trouble shoot this with me I appreciate it.

Hi!

Here are some possible solutions you could try:

1) Check your Calls: Check if you have set up any options that might affect your call behavior. Go to Settings > Phone > Calls and check settings such as "Call forwarding", "Caller ID blocking" or "Block calls".

2) Restart iPhone: Try to restart your iPhone completely. Press and hold the power on/off button until the red power bar appears, then swipe to turn off the device. After your iPhone turns off completely, press and hold the power on/off button again until you see the Apple logo.

3) Update software: Make sure you have the latest version of iOS software installed on your iPhone. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for updates.

4) Reset network settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset and select "Reset network settings". This will erase all your network settings, including the associated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices, so you’ll need to reconnect to Wi-Fi networks.

5) Contact Apple Support: If the problem persists despite troubleshooting attempts, you may want to contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can provide you with specific solutions to your problem.

I hope I helped you!
