MacBook M1 Pro problem with docking station

Hi,

I have MacBook Pro 16-inch M1, Belkin Docking station and two 24 inch external monitors connected to it. Now the problem. After Mac dims the brightness and locks the Mac one of the monitor does not display anything after I log in again, it is just black. As a "workaround" I have to change the resolution of the affected external monitor in order to be able to use the external monitor. It is annoying because it happens more than ten times a day.

Does anybody know why does it happen or what could be the root cause?

Many thanks in advance

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.3

Hi seidlgab,

Resetting the SMC can help resolve issues related to waking macOS and connected monitors:

Make sure that your Mac is plugged into power. Then either restart it or shut it down and turn it on again. No other steps are necessary for Mac computers with Apple silicon.
