Why is my purchased music not available in my country?

I have an album that I did a pre order on. As songs release, I get a pop up that the song is available.

I got one a couple days ago that a song was available.

In my iTunes it says purchased, but won’t play.

I get a message it’s not avail in my country.

Both me and the band that released it are US based and they’ve been hyping the song up for days.

How can I fix this?

None of the options posed were a fix but I personally FOUND the fix! If you have iTunes Match, go into settings on iPhone , music, if sync library is ON, turn it to off. Go to turn back on. It will tell you only matched songs will load and others deleted but don’t worry. Click on and your music will then show up in your library 😊

Hi Kimber_D,

welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.

As iTunes says the song has been purchased, if it hasn't downloaded

you might want to try re-downloading the song:

How to: Redownload music

You could also check to see if the song has been charged / paid for.

What to do:

If there's an issue when you re-download apps, films or other content from Apple – Apple Support

If needed:

Apple Music Support has a website online:

(There's a "Get Support / Start now" link (online chat, phone, eMail etc.) at the bottom of their webpage : link below:)

Music - Official Apple Support

All the best :-)

Also can try this. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  • Check your settings: Make sure that you have the correct country setting on your Apple ID account. You can check this by going to Settings -> iTunes & App Store -> Apple ID -> View Apple ID -> Country/Region. Make sure it's set to the correct country.

  • Sign out and sign back in: Sometimes, issues like these can be resolved simply by signing out of your account and signing back in. Go to Settings -> iTunes & App Store, tap on your Apple ID at the top, then tap 'Sign Out'. After a few seconds, sign back in using your Apple ID and password.

  • Check for updates: Ensure that your device is updated to the latest version of iOS and that your iTunes app is also updated.

  • Contact iTunes Support: If the problem persists, it would be best to get in touch with iTunes Support. They can check on their end if there's a problem with the availability of the song in your region. You can reach them at https://getsupport.apple.com/

  • Contact the Band or their Record Label: As a last resort, you could reach out to the band or their record label. They may have information about regional restrictions or other issues that could be causing your problem. Remember, digital content like songs on iTunes are subject to licensing agreements, and sometimes there are restrictions on where the content can be distributed. This could be the case even if both you and the band are based in the same country.

Hope this helps.
