Auto dialing missed calls!

This is so annoying! Im checking missed calls and once you touch it, it dials the number right away! All I want is to check the missed calls and then I decide when to call back or if I want to!

there must be a way to cancel that stupid feature.

I totally agree that is a very annoying and stupid feature. Anywhere else when you touch a phone number it will first ask whether you want to call this number. They should have the same protocol for list of missed calls. I don’t know how many times I have accidentally called back numbers that I didn’t want to, including spam callers. It should at least be an option feature.

Hi AnnieL2

Tried the first option. Swiping left only clears the notification, it does not open it or give any options.

Second option doesn't help with touching the notification and having it dial the missed call number.

Tried the third option, that doesn't work either.

Auto redial without knowing who called is not something anyone wants. Based on the comments while surfing the web indicates that many people do not like this function. Apple should know better and after all this time and all the comments, fix the issue.

Salutations gift2humanity,

If you’re attempting to view missed calls from a Lock Screen notification try swiping to the left on the notification and choosing ‘View’. This will then give you the option to callback or send a message.

This article goes over different ways you can view and respond to notifications - View and respond to notifications on iPhone

Another option is to view missing calls in the Phone app under the Recents tab. From there you can tap the ‘i’ to the right and see more  information about the call.

Lastly, there is an option in Settings > Face ID & Passcode to disable 'Return Missed Calls'. What this will do is require your to unlock your device before a call is returned.

Thanks.
