Old MacBook Air 11" upgrade help

Hi. My MacBook Air 11" is dated mid 2011. Been stuck on High Sierra for years. Tried upgrading but wouldn't work. So, I can't upgrade most apps either. I was wondering whether someone could help figure out how to do it by myself. Or, does the Apple Store do any upgrades (software or hardware) if I bring my laptop in? Or, is my laptop too old for any upgrades at all?

My laptop specifics:

MacBook Air (11-inch, mid 2011)

masOS High Sierra

Version 10.13.6

Processor 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory 2 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 288 MB

MacBook Air 11″, 10.13

Unfortunately, you won't be able to update the operating system on your Mac beyond the version you currently have installed as your MacBook is obsolete and no longer supported by Apple.

Products are considered obsolete when Apple stopped distributing them for sale more than 7 years ago. They also discontinue all hardware service for obsolete products, and service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products. Mac laptops may be eligible for an extended battery-only repair period for up to 10 years from when the product was last distributed for sale, subject to parts availability.
