Trying to create more storage on iPad but my Notes app is taking more & MORE

Trying to create more storage on iPad but my Notes app is taking more & MORE - even as I’m deleting and moving files to REDUCE it!

Why is it that my Notes app went from taking up a lot of storage to even more storage after I deleted a bunch of files? It went from taking up 30G on my iPad the other day, to 50G today after doing some deleting! So today, I deleted and moved even more things outta there & now it’s at 110G.

Yes, I’ve deleted the deleted files too. Something must be not right, right? How in the world can I lower the storage space this app gobbles up? I’m nearly out of storage on my iPad and solving this would be huge. Thanks so very much for your help!

Begin with a forced-restart of your iPad - as this will often clear both an isolated software issue and unnecessary cached data:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

To reduce storage used by apps like Apple Notes, Notion and Noteshelf:

Can can check this process

  • Delete unneeded notes.
  • Remove or link large attachments.
  • Use cloud storage.
  • Clear app cache.
  • Regularly clean up notes.

By implementing these strategies, you can effectively manage your storage and keep your note-taking apps running efficiently.
