I have my 45watt fast charger adapter and I am using it to charge my iPhone 14 pro max. Will it harm my iPhone?

No. The charging circuitry is in the phone. It will communicate with a USB-PD power source for voltage and "pulls" as much current as it needs. USB power sources don't "push" current into a device like a AA or car battery charger.
