iOS 16.4.1 is disconnecting from wifi and not saving the SSID password

running iOS 16.4.1(a) on my iphone 12mini. I believe since 16.4.1 I have been experiencing my iphone losing connectivity to my primary Wifi Network at home. When I notice that I have no wifi connection and attempt to reconnect to my network, the SSID password needs to be re-entered. I have two other wifi networks and iphone have their passwords. I've tried a couple of remedies (forget the network and redo it - no help, power cycle the iphone no help. Reset Network settings - no help). The situation occurs randomly, possibly 2-3 times per day now.

Now I am noticing that when I check Settings > Wifi > select this network, select the INFO (Circle i), under the Auto-JOIN switch, where the password (hidden) is supposed to be - there is NOTHING! So it's not saving the password I assume someplace in the Keychain. Even when I enter the password, the network connects, but if I try to show that Info page - the password item is missing (immediately after I entered it and Joined the network). see attached screenshots.
