iTunes Store UI is horrible - New Apple Music App

When I go into the iTunes Store in the new Apple Music App there are no search functions.

Am I missing something?

I have a new Mac, been using Apple products for over a decade and this seems horribly wrong.

Not being able to search by artist or song is just plain weird. I looked all over for the search function and couldn't find it. They have top albums, top songs, New music and genres...

Also, the new music shows cut off albums that doesn't let you side scroll. This just seems like a bad design to me all over - or maybe it's their way of pushing you towards apple music subscription.

100% push towards subscription. Been a Mac user for best of 20 years... as Steve Jobs said - I'm actually in the small minority who like owning their music (or the idea of owning it... I..e pay for it if I like it as opposed to be able to listen to millions of tracks out there for a small fee.) iTunes Store actually use to great... it gets worse with every iteration - as well as the removal of features.

Unfortunately from a business perspective it probably makes 100% sense to Apple, but the minority out there suffer - who want to pay for individual tracks and albums and not worry that if they ever cancel susbscription - they loose access to music.

Shuebc,

Not exactly sure what your question is, but if you want to buy music and for whatever reason are unhappy with the iTunes Store, you can purchase music downloads from Bandcamp, Amazon, Beatport, EClassical, HDTracks, and many other sources.

Once you buy them, keep an active copy and at least one reliable backup. You can play them in iTunes/Music or any other player.
