Dolby Atmos Censoring

Why does Dolby Atmos censor my songs even when I have the explicit version downloaded? Is there any way to keep Dolby Atmos on and not have this happen? I enjoy the spatial audio but I don't like the random censoring when I'm listening to my music.

Warm welcome to you najalie!

Content available in Dolby Atmos format, including music, is subject to the same censorship guidelines and restrictions as the regular stereo versions. This means that if a song has explicit content, it may still be censored in the Dolby Atmos version.

The decision to censor or not censor explicit content in Dolby Atmos versions is determined by the content providers, such as record labels or streaming platforms. They may choose to apply censorship to maintain consistency across different formats or to comply with regulations or agreements.

Unfortunately, as a user, you do not have control over the censorship settings within Dolby Atmos. If you prefer to listen to explicit content without censorship, you need to switch to the regular stereo version of the song or explore other music streaming platforms or sources that offer explicit content without censorship.

It's worth noting that each music streaming platform or service may have its own policies and practices regarding censorship and explicit content in Dolby Atmos. Therefore, you may want to explore the options and settings available within your specific music streaming platform to see if there are any customization or filtering options that can better suit your preferences.

Mildly insane that this is a feature they rolled out with lol
