Why will my Mac not work with MS Teams

My Mac will not open meeting links from EU institutions or government. I am losing business and think I should ditch the mac and get a windows laptop for work. Any ideas?

That is certainly modern enough MacOS.

But microsoft has arbitrarily retired the classic free version of Teams, and you will have to (at least) download a new version (and possibly) pay to upgrade to a later version. Their web site is still full of [NOT] helpful advice about how to use the [no longer available] free version.

If you were suing Windows instead, you would have exactly the same issue. The classic free version is discontinued.

I've got an older Mac that has maxed out on Catalina. Can't use Microsoft Teams unless it's with an educational account.

But I still like using my old Mac for almost anything. If I need Microsoft Teams, I use a rather inexpensive Chromebook, that can still run the web version of Microsoft Teams. I also have a newer PC. I can also use my iPad and have used it occasionally with Microsoft Teams.

You write you can use your Ipad with the new Microsoft Teams and still use your old Macbookpro. I face a similar situation now. My Macbookpro from 2016 is too old for the new version of Teams. My Ipad is from 2019 so should work with my Ipad is it?

So if so, my question is, how can I download the new Team version on my Ipad, while still using my old Macbookpro from 2016?
