Pre ios 16, i was playing around with changing the app icons in shortcuts and then i went into shortcuts and deleted them but they are still on my home screen. someone pls help
ps when I hold down to thy and delete them, it’s just says edit Home Screen and I can’t do anything from there

it’s not a widget, it is a shortcut that has a custom app icon that opens an app. I’ve deleted them in the shortcuts app and yet they are still on my Home Screen. When I hold them down, it just says edit Home Screen and then it just takes me into the editing mode.

We'll be happy to help remove this icon from the Home screen. You mentioned that holding down on the screen does not delete them. Could it be in fact a widget that you are seeing? If so, you'll want to tap and hold on the widget then select Remove Widget as shown here: Set up and run shortcuts from a widget on iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Let's make sure that your Restrictions settings are set up the way you want them. Please go to Settings > General > Restrictions and make sure Deleting Apps' option is enabled.
