airpod max strange sound comming from left side

Hello All, hope everyone is doing well. I have had my Airpod Max for about a year now and here lately (within the past 2 months or so) i get a weird noise thru my left side speaker. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's like I can hear it coming at a distance and then it goes loud and stops. Tried my best to figure it out but can't seem to tie it to anything i'm doing. I like putting my headphones on and listening to music while lounging around at home. Hope to get an answer from yall.
