Is a Mid 2011 iMac considered obsolete?

It seems my iMac w/High Sierra 10.13.6 (can't be updated?) mid 2011, has lost ability to use some functions of some websites. Is there any way to correct this? I do have a linux os on thumb drive (unused) but it's kinda old now too. The capacities had been upgraded to the max when I bought this refurbished about summer 2020.

Unfortunately time marches on. Your mid 2011 iMac can’t go beyond High Sierra 10.13.6 because of hardware requirements. As for websites it’s likely because of High Sierra’s Safari version. You will need to switch to a third party browser like Firefox or others.
