iCloud Photos Synching Paused???

I recently bought a new phone, and was restoring from an old phone I'd backed up to iCloud. It copied some of my photos to the new phone, but refuses to move the rest. under iCloud Photos, the Status says "Synching Paused" and "no internet connection", though the phone is otherwise working fine and absolutely connected to the internet.

I've tried restarting to no avail.

Help???

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16

Hello lauraofsuburbia,

We'd be happy to help. If iCloud says Syncing Paused, there are a few things you can try. To get started, make sure you're connected to the internet with Wi-Fi. Connect iPhone to the internet - Apple Support

This information may be helpful:

Connect iPhone to a Wi-Fi network
1. Go to Settings  > Wi-Fi, then turn on Wi-Fi.
2. Tap one of the following:
* A network: Enter the password, if required.
* Other: To join a hidden network, enter the name of the network, security type, and password.
If the Wi-Fi icon appears at the top of the screen, iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. (To verify this, open Safari to view a webpage.) iPhone reconnects when you return to the same location.

If you're connected to a Wi-Fi network, make sure you have Low Power Mode turned off. Low Power Mode will pause iCloud Photos. You can learn more here: Use Low Power Mode to save battery life on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If syncing is still paused, leave your device connected to Wi-Fi, connect it to a charger, and make sure the screen is locked overnight. Syncing should continue when those conditions are met.

Thanks.
