I have tried to remove a person from a group text and I cannot swipe the person
I am trying to swipe left to remove someone from a group text and it only goes to contact info

Are the messages in the thread blue? Or green? If they are green, that means that not everyone in the thread is using iMessage. Unless everyone is using iMessage, you can't delete people. You will need to stop that thread and create a new one without that person.
