Redcine-x pro not working on new Mac Studio with Ventura 13.3.1

Hi. I recently purchased a new Mac Studio. I can't get Redcine-X Pro to work. I have tried to uninstall and re-install the app and have also reached out to RED for support. They confirmed that it should work on Ventura but when I try to run the app it just crashes. and says quit unexpectedly.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks.

As of today, the latest version of Ventura is 13.3.1(a). A couple of other things to try is to boot into safe mode and let the system automatically run its diagnostics and fix things it finds wrong.

The other thing to check is if you are running any other optimizing software or anti-virus software. Those usually cause many problems with macOS and other applications.

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

Neither we nor Apple are responsible for a third-party application that crashes on an operating system the vendor says the application should work correctly. That is Red's problem to fix and you need to stay on them about this. Apple provides them with the tools to fix this issue if they are using Apple's tools to begin with… to build the RedCine-X Pro app.

See the release notes for 61.1.2 as how to work around the lack of Apple notarization of this application.
