I’m trying to do the latest update to my iPhone. I am on the Wi-Fi. I downloaded the newest update. It downloads to my phone but when I try to install it, it gives me the message “IOS security response 16.4.1 (a) failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet “ but I am absolutely still connected to the internet. Any ideas? I have tried turning phone off and on and deleting update and trying again but am having no luck.

Try cellular instead of Wi-Fi or an alternate Wi-Fi network. It's trying to check the signature to verify the download is not tampered with and it's failing that security check. Something on the Wi-Fi network is blocking it's ability to reach Apple servers or a certificate root authority that is required.

This problem does appear to be more wide-spread indicating an Apple problem. Others are reporting it other discussion forums today.
