apple mail, I can not delete some junk emails

I get the error message: The specified object was not found in the store., The process failed to get the correct properties.

I have tried dragging and dropping in trash, in sidebar, in archive in specified envelope. I can delete some junk emails

any ideas of what I can try next? I have a MacBook Air Ventura 13.2.1
