Disable Hide my email feature for Chrome

Hello,

Can I disable the ‘Hide my Email’ functionality on my iPhone so that Chrome will be impacted? I want to totally disable the feature. I don't want to add or delete random email addresses. I use my email address regularly as a sign-on for web sites and have always been able to select my email address from the bar above the keyboard as soon as I click on an ‘enter email’ box. This saves a lot of time manually entering it in and my email address is long, so typing it takes time. I can’t find anything in settings to help disable this feature and it's irritating that I am back to entering my email instead of using the pre-populated information. I don't use Safari for my web browsing, and can only find information in Community relating to Safari, so those steps are not helping me disable the feature in Chrome.

Hi there arielokinawa,

We see you are asking about disabling the Hide My Email feature in the Chrome browser. From the guide linked below, this is only available in supported third-party apps. The Google Chrome browser would need to support this feature for it to work as you posted.

This worked in Safari .. I don't know if it will in chrome, but you can try

In your contacts on "your card", make sure you have a default home email address setup.

If not, included it.

You will then have an option to "hide my email" or select your home email when you go to a webpage.

Not perfect .. but works better than only having the "hide my email" pop up option

Each time I link to the NYTimes from my email client, it acts as though I don't have a subscription, and "logs me in" with a random user ID that never works. This is probably due to "Hide My Email" and I need to disable this option.

Can someone direct me on how to do this? It's becoming annoyingly time-consuming.
