In my MacBook(Ventura 13.3.1), Quick Time Player(version 10.5) does not work as expected; when I try to open a video file, the app starts but the video never starts. Then, the app quits spontaneously without any error message or something.

What can you tell about (the origin of) the video file? Is it an old file? Is it a new recording? Is it a conversion? Did you create it? Did you get it from someone else?
Try inspecting the media file with Invisor Lite (or any other tool based on Media Info). That should tell more about the structure and codecs, which would assist in finding a solution.
What do you want to do with the file? Just playback, or editing, or …?
For just playback of ‘difficult’ files, consider getting VLC or IINA.
Quick Time does not open videos.
