Album artwork in Music app? Help!!!

There seem to be quite a few queries about this issue...has any one come up with a solution that works yet?

I have an iPhone 12 running iOS 14.4.1 and MacBook Pro running Macs OS Ventura 13.3.1. I have a huge (iTunes library) built mostly from CDs I have ripped to iTunes over many years and some I have bought from Itunes over the years but as many others have pointed out the album artwork for most of the library is completely messed up...why?

And more importantly how the **** do I fix it?

Thanks

Hi JonPearceTV,

Try to isolate the issue by manually updating the album art:

"Add artwork to music and video

  1. In the Music app  on your Mac, click Songs in the sidebar.
  2. Select one or more songs in your music library, choose Song > Info, click Artwork, then do one of the following:
    • Click Add Artwork, select an image file, then click Open.
    • Drag the image file to the artwork area.

To retrieve album artwork from the iTunes Store for your entire library, choose File > Library > Get Album Artwork." Add artwork to content in Music on Mac

Test to see if the album art stays or reverts. This will allow you to determine the best steps.

We hope this helps!

Sincerely.
