Error Using New M2 Mini with Printer

I have a Brother DCP-L2520DW printer that is available in my wifi network and has been successfully printing from all our mobile devices and my previous iMac for years. Recently, I upgraded to the new M2 Mini, which is now on the same wifi network. The printer shows up as available as a printing destination when I try to print a page from the Mini.

But, when I send the printer the print job, I get an error message every time.

I am at a loss as to how to fix this error. My first, and only, thought was to update the printer firmware, which is what I did. What else can I do?
