Please verify that the Apple TV+ subscription was canceled completely, and shows an expire date instead of a next billing date. See your subscription overview - Apple.
Subscriptions should be canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal moment. Did you cancel on time? Else you may get an extra billing cycle [1].
Canceled subscriptions that have been re-activated, start a new billing cycle. Don’t use it after it has been expired, unless you meant to re-subscribe.
Subscriptions are not for full calendar months, instead offset from the moment of starting the subscription. E.g., if started on the 10th at 11:35, then a 7 day free trial until the 17th at 11:35, then each renewal moment is on the 17th at 11:35 each month. See the date stamp of your subscription signup confirmation email.
