Is there a way to block a range of numbers if not why not?

Hello Apple Community,

I hope you're all doing well! I've been receiving a high volume of unwanted calls lately, many of which come from numbers within a specific range. I was wondering if there's a way to block a range of numbers on my iPhone. I've searched through the settings and various forums but haven't found a straightforward solution.

For example, if the unwanted calls are coming from numbers starting with (555) 123-XXXX, I'd like to block all numbers within that range, instead of having to block each one individually.

If this feature is currently unavailable, could someone please shed some light on why this is the case? I can't help but think that this would be a very useful and time-saving feature for users dealing with a high volume of spam calls or other unwanted communication.

Any insights or alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from you all!

The phone itself cannot block a range but your cell carrier might be able to, contact them for help.
