I want to install Adobe InDesign on my 15" Macbook Pro 2018 with Monterey 12.6.5. The Adobe specs indicate SSE 4.2 or higher SIMD engine. What does this mean and how do I find out if this computer will work with this program?

Greetings BabsMark,

The system requirements for Adobe InDesign show that either a multicore Intel process or Apple silicon/M1 is needed or a SSE4.2 or higher SIMD engine. InDesign system requirements

The SSE 4 seems to be related to an Intel processor as per the Intel support site. You can read more on it here - Intel® Instruction Set Extensions Technology

You can check in Apple menu > About This Mac to determine which processor is running in your Mac.

Thanks.
