Horrible distorted sound on 2021 16" Macbook Pro

Apple reps say that I need to wait for a software update. I think it is a hardware issue though - when I listen to the sound though earphones it is fine.

When playing through laptop speakers, the distortion diminishes if I squeeze the left corner of the laptop. Apple refuses to service it by mail. Anyone else having this problem?
