My MacBook Air is 10+ years old but I recently updated it from Snow Leopard to High Sierra(10.13.6), now I'm trying to download the official Mojave from the AppStore but it says that ,"This version of macOS 10.14.6 cannot be installed on this computer."
Is it because my MacBook Air hardware is too old for the new software?

Mojave is only supported on MBA Models 2012 and later. Refer to Identify your MacBook Air model - Apple Support
If it was running Snow Leopard at some stage that might make it 20 years old and definitely too old for Mojave.
