Apple USB-C Power Adapters Failing

Why do my Apple USB-C Power Adapters keep going out? Is this a known problem with Apple since moving to USB-C? My third one just went out and I'm getting tired of replacing these Apple branded products just to have them fail. I only use Apple chargers and at first, I thought it was the cable, but after testing them with multiple cables, it's definitely the adapters going out, not the cables. Again, all Apple branded so this is not an issue of using non-branded accessories.
