An update destroyed my iphoneX. How do i get back to the older version?
Can I go back in time or am I forced to buy a new phone?

Updates are a one way street, you can't go backwards.
We might be able to help though, if you can provide some more details about things. We assume that you have already tried a Forced Restart a few times, correct? What else have you tried? Connected to a computer to force a Restore?
