Dolby Atmos with Sonos Arc and LG OLED65B6P

Hello I have an Apple TV 4K 3rd Gen. I have the Apple tv’s hdmi hooked up to an hdmi port on the LG Tv. The Sonos is hooked up to an hdmi/arc port on the LG Tv. There is only one hdmi port on the Sonos Arc. Will I never be able to have Dolby Atmos with this LG Tv?

Sound output format problem Apple TV Hello, I have my Apple TV output sound via LG TV to Sonos Arc. When I play a movie with Atmos the Arc correctly gets an Atmos signal and confirms this (Atmos available set on ATV). Any other sound format, e.g. Dolby Digital Plus the ATV output Multichannel PCM 7.1 and the sound is not great. However, when I play Dolby Digital Plus movies on App from Disney+/Amazon Prime/Netflix directly on LG TV, then the format output is ALWAYS correctly transferred to the Sonos Arc and confirmed and the sound is always better. Of course, I can force the ATV to output only Dolby Digital 5.1, but then instead I lose the Atmos output. All formats get correcly transffered directly from LG TV (any App) to Arc. Is there any solution or can I only use Apple TV for Atmos content or content from Apple TV+ App? Sincerely, Claes

Apple TV 4K and Dolby Vision & Atmos Apple TV 4K Toshiba C350 75” TV with Dolby Vision Yamaha Aventage A-3060 AVR When I connect the Apple TV 4K to my Yamaha AVR HDMI 2 with HDMI 1 of the AVR handling the eARC duties up to HDMI 1 port of the TV, I get Dolby Atmos but not Dolby Vision. When I connect the Apple TV directly to HDMI 2 of the TV, I get Dolby Vision but not Dolby Atmos. I am using brand new Monoprice Ultra High Speed 48 Gbps cables throughout. How can I get both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision? Thank you!!!

If your TV has a regular HDMI-ARC port (not eARC: Enhanced ARC), then that does not have the bandwidth for Dolby Atmos.

An alternative connection method could bring you Dolby Atmos:

Apple TV →[HDMI]→ HDfury Arcana →[HDMI (video)]→ TV

↘︎[HDMI-eARC (audio)]→ soundbar
