I have a re beats pod xl that is on a recall and I am about to return them but as they were a gift I don't have the receipt or payment method.

I have read thus and applied . Now 3 months later I have an empty box to pack the DRBeats in to return.
But nowhere does it say how I will get a refund.
Apple do not have my bank details.
I bought the DR Beats 2nd hand.
So how will apple reimburse me
