FaceTime and iOS 16.4.1 update

Just updated my phone and already experiencing significant battery drain issues and FaceTime issues. FaceTime is dropping in the middle of calls. Not sure what the answer is. It was working fine before the update.

FaceTime is unusable on iPad 10th gen after iOS 18 update. FaceTime is unusable after updating to iOS 18, specifically on iPad (10th generation). Every time I am in a call, within 5 minutes I get an error saying "Unstable connection". Shortly after this error the call automatically hangs up. Is anyone else facing this issue? If so, was there anything you did that fixes it?

FaceTime issues Your iOS 16 update has turned FaceTime from a great app into a load of crap. Basic troubleshooting like restarting my phone and deleting and reinstalling the app does not work and was not fixed with iOS 16.2. The app freezes, videos are choppy, me and my bf often do not receive each others calls, and the app randomly quit and will not allow me to FaceTime him but I can FaceTime others despite not being blocked on his end. Release a new update because I’ve seen where people in other forums are having similar issues.

FaceTime issues on iPad 10 since update to iOS 18.0.1 I have been doing FaceTime video calls ever since I bought my iPad 10 at the beginning of this year. But since I upgraded to iOS 18.0.1 I have issues. After 2 or 3 minutes the call starts to drop and it looks like is a connection problem. I checked my WiFi and it was fine but the problem was still there. I reset my internet connection and the problem persisted. Then I restarted my iPad and yet again the problem persisted. I thought once again it was my internet connection so I tried on a different day, call the internet provider and all was working fine except for my FaceTime calls. So I tried from my iPhone and no issues. Tried from my old laptop and no issues. Just my iPad was having trouble. Is there a way to fix it? Is anyone going through the same thing.

You may notice some impact to your battery immediately after updating that should sort out as your information indexes. You can find some tips on getting the best out of your battery life here: Batteries - Maximizing Performance - Apple
