Apple mail has become very buggy
Some time ago, I noticed that my mail messages were taking a long time to open. I'd open a message, wait and just get a blank screen. I'd quit mail, and get gray'd out "Mail" in the menu bar and have to force quit the app. Pretty standard routine now.
Mail is still doing that. Now, as of a week ago, I'd write a short message, and find multiple... (14, 28!!!) drafts of a short message. I'd delete them, and mail still shows a number of drafts, while nothing is in the folder.
Yesterday, I wrote and sent a short mail message... and saw 28 drafts (duplicates) in the draft folder. I delete them... and they return. I deleted the message from Sent, emptied the trash folder... and this morning, more drafts of a message that's no longer (as far as I know) contained in my Mail app. Huh???
I just opened mail, it shows 9 drafts... and the message I deleted yesterday is back... 9 times. Trashing and deleting it AGAIN...
I run Onyx periodically, AVG deep scan shows no viruses.
My question: Can/should I delete the mail app completely and reinstall it from the Apple Store, without losing all my mail messages.
Apple mail on my phone does't show any issues, just on my MBP w/ Monterey?
I'd appreciate any feedback or advice. Thank you.
