Apple Watch Series 8 Battery Draining After WatchOS 9.4 Update

Since this update, My Series 8 watch has gone from 100% to less than 10% in about 4 hours. It also tends to overheat when recharging.

This problem also happened with 9.3. And with 9.2. In all cases I unpaired and erased my watch, etc, and it did not help. Then, after about a week, the watch started holding its charge.

Why hasn’t Apple fixed this? It’s annoying. The point of the watch is to make my life easier and to serve me, rather than for me to spend time rebooting, recharging, and resetting all my old custom settings.
