Apple Watch 8 battery draining and other issues after 9.3.1 update

I recently took the update for my Apple 8 (GPS) watch. Now, my watch is draining before the end of the day. It has dropped over 20% in 2 hours while I am sitting here working. I have turned off a bunch of features and it isn't helping. My husband is experiencing a similar battery drain with his Apple 7 watch.

My Workout feature continues to Auto Pause and/or goes back to the face and locks, which is really annoying while running. Neither of these were a problem before the 9.3 update.

I have tried a hard reboot of my watch and phone. No improvement.
