Messages not synced after I switched to iPhone 14 Pro

Hi,

My Messages are enabled for iCloud on both my new phone and old phone. Everything from iCloud synced to new phone , except the messages.

When I tried to "Repair Account", I'm being asked to enter the password for an old Mac (don't know pwd anymore). Then, it gives me an option to "Reset Encrypted Data", which I'm not sure what that's going to do, so don't know how to proceed.

Another thing I noticed is that my old phone when I go to Settings -> Messages, and "Send & Receive", I only have 1 address which is my email address while i have 2 addresses on my new phone (including my phone #).

Please help!

If you reset your encrypted data due to a forgotten passcode, the data you lose would depend upon which of two options you use for data encryption. There is standard and advanced. The following article provides more information on which data is included in each type: iCloud data security overview - Apple Support
