How to fix a broken power adapter/duckhead?

so on last monday, i had tripped over my father’s magsafe charger in the dark. the “duckhead”, i believe it’s called, spilt open, with the prongs falling out and a small white piece, which i assume held something down in the charger. how can i fix it? is it able to be out back together? for reference, it’s a 60W MagSafe with an L-style connector. the computer is a 13 inch macbook pro from early 2011. i believe my dad bought this one from a third party as it doesn’t have the apple logo on it. but i think it works pretty much the same way?

for US$20, you can buy a power adapter "extension cord" that takes the place of the duckhead.

Available at the Apple online store and bricks and mortar stores as well.

if you want to replace it exactly, try eBay. I saw some (duck head only) listed there for under US$5, plus shipping.

All models are interchangeable, there are no different variants.

Damaged Cables and Adapters:

Why Risk a Damaged Mac? Rather than fiddle with it, I'd say just get a new one. A purchase it form Apple a none other, as a way to avoid ungenunine device scams.
