New phones for my teens. New apple IDs for them too. And they are using their own email addresses (I created) to keep it all neat. Middle child, 14yo, is apparently already in the family. Except, he's not. What is happening? No one is sharing an email address or an Apple ID. How do I add him in if he's already in? And if he's already in, why can't I see him?

When you go to Settings > Family, are you seeing your son's name listed?

No, that is why it is weird. It says he's already there, but that is not so. I ended up changing his country to where he is considered an adult at 14. I was able to add him to our Family Sharing then. Then I changed his country back. It worked. I have not clue why it worked.
But on to the next Apple problem.
