Can I trade in my MacBook Pro in Hong Kong that was purchased in Japan?

Hi community

Can anyone help me to understand if it’s possible to trade-in products bought in different countries?

Specifically, I live in Hong Kong and want to trade-in a Macbook Pro13 bought in Japan.

If I cannot trade-in and the Apple Store only accepts free recycling, what exactly is the criteria? Are all products bought in different regions not applicable?

Appreciate if someone can help :)

Well, we are not able to speak for Apple - we are just other users and are not privy to Apple's policies.

I suggest you check on this yourself:

Apple Trade In - Apple

Once you enter the serial number, you should be able to find out if it is eligible or not - or contact Apple and ask them.
