Chess.app can't be deleted

The app Chess.app appeared on my machine (MAC Monterey 12.6.3) dated Jan 11, 2023. I am unable to delete this and am concerned it's malware. It gives me the following note:

Last login: Fri Mar 31 11:00:21 on console

The default interactive shell is now zsh.

To update your account to use zsh, please run `chsh -s /bin/zsh`.

Is this malware or just a protected file that came with the OS?

The Chess app is part of the OS and cannot be deleted. System files are protected in a special read only partition for security. Chess has been a part of the OS for years and takes up very little disk space.

Its not malware and the message in Terminal about changing the shell to zsh is not required unless you are a Terminal user.
